You run a contract manufacturing plant for a season, on your own, and there is always more work than there are hours. Every order that walks in wants a slot on a machine that somebody else also wants, so the question is never whether the plant is busy. It is what the hour you are about to sell was actually worth. The game puts a live shadow price on every pool of capacity, so for the first time a student can see the cost of saying yes, and then has to decide anyway: take it, refuse it, reprice it, push it a week, redesign it, or hand it to a partner.

Nothing here is generated on the fly. The whole market is derived from one seed: the plant, the rates, the demand curve, the shocks, the order book, right down to the benchmark ceiling, so every student in the cohort faces exactly the same season and the debrief compares like with like. Scoring is capture against a per-market ceiling rather than raw dollars, which means a student who played a hard market well outranks one who got an easy one, and results are comparable across sections and across years. The lesson lands the way it does on a real shop floor: a full plant and a profitable plant are not the same plant, and the money is made in the orders you turned down.
